Impala, a group held and managed by Jacques Veyrat and his family, supports high growth projects, essentially in five activities: Energy (with investments in Neoen, Albioma and Castleton Commodities International), Industry (with investments in Technoplus Industries, Electropoli, and Arjo Solutions), Cosmetic (with investments in P&B Group and Augustinus Bader), Brands (with investments in Pullin and Maison Lejaby), Alternative investment funds and asset management (with investments in Eiffel Investment Group, in high growth projects in China, in the development of real estate projects in Paris suburbs and a Hotel Group in Portugal). The Fonds Stratégique de Participations (FSP) is a SICAV, or collective investment fund, which is registered with the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) and which seeks to promote long-term equity investments by taking strategic stakes in French companies. The FSP’s board comprises seven insurance group shareholders (BNP Paribas Cardif, CNP Assurances, Crédit Agricole Assurances, SOGECAP (Société Générale Insurance), Groupama, Natixis Assurances et Suravenir). To date, the FSP has sept sub-funds, invested in ARKEMA, SEB, ZODIAC AEROSPACE, EUTELSAT COMMUNICATIONS, TIKEHAU CAPITAL, ELIOR GROUP and NEOEN. The FSP continues to examine other investment opportunities in French companies.
Bpifrance is the French national investment bank: it finances businesses – at every stage of their development – through loans, guarantees, equity investments and export insurance. It supports innovation and overseas expansion thanks to a wide range of products and services. Bpifrance is particularly committed to renewable energy, having invested some €2.2 million to finance energy transition. It sees companies in this sector as catalysts for French competitiveness.
The balance sheet total was almost 2.6 billion euros as at end of December 2018. An increase of 42% compared to the previous year, this figure represents the investment in the group’s power plants, in operation or under construction.
Neoen has reported revenues of € 228 million in 2018, an increase of 63% compared to 2017. This entirely organic growth was due primarily to the consolidation over a full year of projects that came into service in 2017 and the commencement of operations of nearly 400MW of new projects.
Neoen also reported an EBITDA margin of 77%.
Neoen has been consistently profitable since 2011.
